Gold For Charity is the charitable division of Get Gold Cash, Inc., a national buyer of old gold, unwanted jewelry, coins, diamonds, watches and more. We started Gold For Charity as an innovative fundraising program for local and national charitable organizations. It is actually very easy in concept: we pay consumers for unwanted gold/silver/platinum items and we give the consumer a choice of which organization they want a small percentage of the payout donated to. We in turn donate these proceeds to the charitable organizations on a monthly basis.
Charitable organizations can receive donations simply by encouraging their customer base to utilize our payment services. It's easy! Instead of asking customers to pay into a fundraiser, customers are now able to make a little extra cash from the broken jewelry and items no longer worn or wanted and at the same time make a contribution to a charity of choice!
Where is your company located?
Our company is located in Baltimore, Maryland. We are a national company, servicing customers in all 50 states. If you can get to a US Post Box or have US Mail Pickup, we will be able to help you receive payment for your items and make a positive contribution to the charity of your choice. If you are in the Maryland/D.C. area, you may also schedule a private appointment in our offices.
How long has your company been in business?
The principal owner of our company has been in the business for most of his life. He is a fourth generation buyer of gold, diamonds and jewelry. The original business was started in 1923, and Get Gold Cash, Inc. is a successful off shoot of this business. Gold For Charity was developed as a way to benefit consumers with unwanted gold/silver/platinum jewelry and charitable organizations.
What types of precious metals and jewelry do you buy?
We pay cash for all types of gold jewelry. We do not buy Rolled Gold Plate or Gold Filled Jewelry. But we buy all types of jewelry, broken, worn, unworn, that is stamped 10KT, 14KT, 18KT or higher. We also buy sterling silver jewelry marked 925, 950 or 999 fine silver. We buy broken earrings, bracelets, chains, pendants, diamond jewelry, school rings, anklets, old ring mountings and much more. You will be surprised at how much it all of these broken and unwanted items can add up to!
Do you buy platinum and palladium?
Yes, we buy platinum and palladium jewelry. Most platinum jewelry is marked with the letters 'PLAT' or PL 900 or PL 950.
How do I know you will actually pay me?
Fair question, with all of the imitators suddenly buying jewelry over the internet. We are a highly reputable company, with extensive bank references and connections in the business. We are leading advertising on the Internet, in national magazines, newspapers and national television. Our intent is to help you receive cash for your items while benefitting your favorite charitable cause. We are not in the business of stealing merchandise. We pay a fair price for your merchandise, and we pay within 24 hours of receipt of your items in our offices.
How does the charity I choose benefit from my old jewelry items?
At the beginning of every month, Gold For Charity tallies all of the payouts made to customers from each charity designation for the prior month. Once the total payout is calculated, a net percentage is donated back to the charity.
